Andrographis paniculata is an annual herbaceous plant in the family Acanthaceae, native to India and Sri Lanka. It is widely cultivated in Southern and Southeastern Asia, where it has been traditionally used to treat infections and some diseases.

कालमेघ एक बहुवर्षीय शाक जातीय औषधीय पौधा है। इसका वैज्ञानिक नाम एंडोग्रेफिस पैनिकुलाटा है। कालमेघ की पत्तियों में कालमेघीन नामक उपक्षार पाया जाता है, जिसका औषधीय महत्व है। यह पौधा भारत एवं श्रीलंका का मूल निवासी है तथा दक्षिण एशिया में व्यापक रूप से इसकी खेती की जाती है। इसका तना सीधा होता है जिसमें चार शाखाएँ निकलती हैं और प्रत्येक शाखा फिर चार शाखाओं में फूटती हैं। इस पौधे की पत्तियाँ हरी एवं साधारण होती हैं। इसके फूल का रंग गुलाबी होता है।
